With Ryan Barry taking taking a pair of wins with Hayden Guptill and Andrew Hanson sharing the second places at the Springs on Saturday night it was these three cars along with young Nicholas Wells that headed to Waharoa for the annual charity day that saw the proceeds this year going to Ronald McDonald house.

With the hot sun burning down on us and a super wet track we were glad to be the last round out.  Race one saw Ryan take and early lead only to give it up with another one of his bicycle moves (Over the last few weeks I think he is remembering his BMX days).  This saw Hayden take over the lead only to catch a rut coming into three a couple of laps later and allow Andrew to take the lead.  Andrew held onto this lead to gain his first win of the season after a number of seconds.  He was followed home by Ryan, Hayden and Nicholas.

Race two saw Ryan and Andrew have a great battle for the lead with Hayden getting the anouncer all excited with an attempted three wide into turn three.  Luckily he chose to get out of it or he could have ended up in the same slush that caught older brother Jarrod out in the ministock earlier in the day.  As the race went on Ryan again decided that two wheels were better than one and as Andrew was right behind him Hayden saw an opourtunity to take the lead.  A drag race happened between Ryan and Hayden with Hayden just making it into turn three ahead.  Just as Hayden got himself a nice lead the car cut out with the tag on the coil breaking off and sending him to the infield.  This saw Ryan head into the lead. Hayden was soon joined on the infield bay Andrew with then saw Ryan take the lead with young Nicholas coming in second.  His first ever second a reward for his weekly increases in speed.

Race three saw Andrew unable to repair his car but Hayden was back on the grid.  With the saloons not ready to go out the three boys went out a race early aas they were ready to go.  Hayden took and early lead in our final race of the day with Ryan coming in second followed by Nicholas.

Flamecrusher has sponsored the day and put up prizes for the first three in each class.  The prizegiving was one of my most satisfying moments in my time in Quarter Midgets.  When they called out the third placegetter for the quarters for the day and Nicholas went running up to get his drink and a flamecrusher hat witht he biggest smile on his face that I have ever seen.  Was also great to see a very proud Hoot watching him receive his prize.  Hayden got second for the day and got a pair of Flamecrusher race socks.  Ryan with his overall win recieved a very nice Flamecrusher race bag which will look real nice with his move to TQs next year.

A very sucsessful day was had for th four drivers as it was a great experience to run on a track that was challenging and they drivers handled it very well and this will help them in the future.  Club champs is now on the 21st of March after the rainout a couple of weeks ago.

This weekend coming the Kiwikidz create a bit of history with the oppourtunity to run on all three tracks in Auckland in one weekend.  With the youth day at Waikaraka on Saturday afternoon then heading to our home track at the Springs on Saturday night followed by a return to our second home at Rosebank Rd.  We are not sure if anyone else has run alll three tracks over the one weekend.
