With a beautiful day dawning it was off to Rosebank for the final meeting there before Santa comes.  Five cars turned up to battle on the Rosebank track.  Hayden Guptill, Ryan Barry, Nathan Howard, Ben LeCren and Breyton Davison.

Race one was a very quiet race with the ononly excitment was Nathan turning it around and having to restart from the back.  Ryan took the win from Breyton, Hayden, Ben and Nathan.

Race two saw the boys take off, this race saw some good racing early on until Hayden turned it around and Ryan had to follow suit to miss him.  This put the two of them off the back on the restart.  Ben LeCren was holding onto the pole and letting noone through to take the win, he was followed home by Nathan, Breyton, Ryan and Hayden finished with a flat right rear tire.  This win was the end of Bens day as a clutch failure explained the last lap puffs of smoke and put him out for the rest of the day.

Race three saw our third winner for the day with Breyton flying away off the front row with a large lead followed home by Nathan.  Ryan and Hayden had a great battle with Hayden attempting an outside pass for a whole lap before Ryan managed to get clear and take third ahead of Hayden.  These results saw Breyton as the top points scorer for the day followed by Ryan, Nathan and Hayden.  With a fastest off the back format for the day this saw Breyton have some work to do in the feature.

The feature saw Hayden out drag Nathan to the first corner.  Ryan was trying everything in his powers to pass Nathan and was unable to do so untill Nathan broke a chain and Ryan got a bit closer than he planned as Nathan slowed and Ryan caused a moment of excitment by riding Nathans right rear.  Once he came back down he took off in persuit of Hayden.  Unbeknown to Ryan was that about this time Breyton had found a fantstic line that picked up his speed and pulled of one of the passes of the year to zip under Ryan.  Hayden took his first feature win followed home by the rapidly closing Breyton the Ryan.

A great days racing was had by all with all the kids looking forward to their excursion to Waihi Beach next Saturday.  With only one more oppourtunity to practice at Rosebank before Christmas this Wednesday night it is almost time to look forward to the international midget series over the Christmas period.  WIth one Christchurch car confirmed over this period and possibilities of another driver from the South Island we will reveal more after the Waihi Beach meeting.
