On the back of the unfortunate news that the Rangeview club wouldn't allow us to race for the Les Behere trophy up at Taipa, eight cars headed to Rosebank for the final Auckland meeting of the season. Morgan McHugh and Mellissa Baker had their yellow ribbons removed and were gridded up ready to race. Race one saw Jarrod Guptill take the win from Ryan Barry who made a great pass around the outside of Benjamin Lecren. Race two saw Ryan take off from the front followed by Mitchell Watts then Jarrod Guptill. Race three was started in a light shower. Morgan spun while leading and Jarrod and him collided. On the restart the rain really came down and the meeting was called when Ryan and Mellisa hit the wall. This left Mitch leading with Nathan Howard and Breyton Davidson in the minor when the meeting was canned. With Taipa coming up Queens Birthday weekend and a field of ten cars attending it will be a great fianally to another great season for the kids. We have already seen the last of Taylor Clarke in a quarter midget and this weekend will be Jarrods last meeting in a quarter. Heres hoping that we see these kids in a bigger car blasting around the springs in the near future following inthe footsteps of so many other former Kiwikidz.
